Valtellina is a land rich in vineyards, one of the most important and productive of the whole all the Lombardy region: thanks to its exceptional exposure towards south, to the local microclimate that the Alps protect from the cold winds of the north and the endless passion of generations of winemakers who, from ancient times, grow vines on the terraces along the slopes of the mountain and harvest the fruits cultivated with effort.

Today, special standards regulate and favour the import of Valtellina wines into Valposchiavo and bottling directly in Swiss territory.
